THE FRIENDLY KITCHEN

The Friendly Kitchen is Concord’s only soup kitchen. St. Andrew’s offers dinner every fourth Tuesday of every month. One person is the cook and decides what will be served, using primarily what is in the freezers or on the shelves at the Kitchen.  The cook and a helper usually get there around 2:30pm to get things started and the other volunteers come at 4pm to help prepare the meal, which is served from 5 until 5:45. We clean up and usually leave by 6:15pm.

 Many of our volunteers work every month, some 3 or 4 times a year, whatever fits your schedule. We are always seeking volunteers, especially cooks. Please think about volunteering as it is a lot of fun, and we leave with a good feeling as our guests say thank you!
