There are many ways to get involved in the life and worship of St. Andrew’s community! Every Sunday’s bulletin lists contact information for folks who head up these areas of ministry. If you’re curious, give someone a call! If you don’t have a bulletin on hand, just call the church office for more information.
Worship Ministries
- Lay Reader, Eucharistic Minister, and Acolyte training is available for all interested in assisting in the liturgy.
- Our Altar Guild prepares the sanctuary for all services, decorates for Christmas and Easter, and routinely cares for vestments and sacramental linens & vessels.
- Gifts for Sanctuary Lamp and Altar Flower dedications and memorials are gratefully received by the parish office at any time.
- Our Usher corps of men and women seats people, presents the Eucharistic elements and the offering, and coordinates the passage of people during the Eucharist.
Music Ministries
- Senior Choir rehearses on Thursdays at 7:30pm & Sundays at 9am,
then sings at the 10am service. - Junior Choir rehearses Thursdays from 6:30 – 7:15 & sings monthly at 10am worship services.
- Joyful Song! a preschool music playgroup, meets Thursdays from 6:30 – 7:00 pm, and occasionally sings for the 10am service.
Educational Ministries
Adult Education
- Our Adult Education Committee offers a variety of opportunities for discussion of matters of faith and contemporary issues.
- An Adult Forum meets in the Great Hall most Sundays at 9am for conversation.
Christian Formation
- During the 10am service, our caring volunteers in the ’Nursery’ provide childcare for infants through age 2.
- ’The Next Room’ provides a balanced environment of play & Bible stories for children ages 3 to 5.
- Our Sunday school program offers age-appropriate study of the week’s Bible texts, for pre-K through 5th grade, on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:30.
- P.I.T. Crew (’Parishioner in Training’) is a program designed especially for the interests of youth in Grades 6–8 and meets Sundays 9:30-10:30.
- All Sunday school students rejoin their families in the church at the Peace, and are present for the Holy Eucharist.
Youth Groups
- Middle School: Grades 6 to 8 meet every other Sunday, 5:00 to 7:00pm. See the Upcoming Events calendar for the next meeting.
- Senior High youth group meets on occasion – contact us if you’re interested in joining !
Paths Crossing
Cross-cultural education opportunity for parishioners of all ages is available through our partnership with the Church of the Holy Spirit, Randlett, UT.
Inreach Ministries
- Welcoming: Name badges are available at the door of the Great Room in the parish hall and we hold an Annual Welcoming Dinner.
- Members of the Pastoral Care Committee make visitations and deliver communion to the home bound and those in hospitals & nursing homes.
- Our ’TLC’ Committee offers support to those who require a helping hand by providing transportation, and making calls, visits, and meals as may be needed.
- Fellowship: After services, fellowship and light food are in abundance at coffee hour in the Great Room of the parish hall.
- We relish occasions for shared meals, including: Twelfth Night supper, St. Patrick’s Day dinner, Shrove Tuesday Pancake supper, Maundy Thursday agape meal, St. Andrew’s Day dinner, and our annual picnic!
- ’PODs’ are small groups of 7-8 people which meet for dinner in one another’s homes or plan outings together over the course of a church year. It’s a great way to make good friends.
- Caring: If a family wishes, the parish Memorial Tea Committee will host a reception following a funeral or memorial services.
Outreach Ministries
- On ’Basket of Hope Sunday’ – the 1st Sunday of each month – we bring donations to the Hopkinton Food Pantry to help those in need. We also have special collections at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- At the ’Friendly Kitchen’, volunteers work together in fellowship to prepare meals for some of our disadvantaged neighbors in Concord.
- ‘Gifts for ChIPs’ is Christmas benefit for the children of incarcerated parents, our part in a diocesan-wide annual effort.
- Volunteers prepare and serve noon meals for Senior Luncheons at the Hopkinton/Contoocook Community Center.
- There are numerous ’informal’ service opportunities available such as CASA, Prison Ministries, the Merrimack County children’s clothing appeal, refugee placement support, Fresh Air, and the Circle Program, among others.
Property Committee
’Lay Weeders’ are volunteers who tend and care for our grounds and gardens. The Memorial Garden is a quiet place for meditation and reflection, and holds the interred ashes of friends and family.

- The Network is monthly newsletter featuring all the exciting and important activities happening in our parish community.
- Our Pictorial Directory is a photo directory with names, addresses, and phone numbers of parishioners.
- On our DVD, you can sense our hearts and feel our energy; ask for a copy to get to know us better.
