All youth in grades 6-12 are welcome to participate in the programs offered at St. Andrew’s, regardless of denomination. Join us as we explore faith, life, community, and how it all fits together!
PIT Crew
PIT Crew is our 6th to 8th grade Sunday school class, meeting most Sundays at 9:45am in the downstairs Youth Room. We look at the Bible texts for the week and the themes of the holy days and seasons of the church year, and find the places where the issues and questions of our contemporary lives connect with our Episcopal tradition. For 2009-2010, we’ll be returning often to the theme of prayer. What is prayer? What does it do? What are the different ways people pray? What do we pray about? We’ll explore these questions through conversation, shared art projects, trips, and more.
Youth Group
Alternating Sundays, 5:00-7:00pm; check “Upcoming Events” for dates.
Our Youth Group is open to all youth from 6th to 12th grade. Feel free to bring a friend! We always share a meal, and we always close with prayers. Beyond that, our meetings vary – from a visit to a neighboring church to walk their outdoor labyrinth or attend a Taize service, to a tour of our church kitchen and a lesson in making pizza from scratch, to service projects for our parish and beyond, to sledding expeditions and movie nights. Our time together is our living out and living into our diocese’s motto: Infinite Respect towards each other – Radical Hospitality for the world.
