Sundays@5 – come join us!

By Miranda | Published February 4, 2010

Sundays@5 is a new gathering for worship and community, born of the warmth and energy of St. Andrew’s. Every Sunday evening at 5pm, we gather in the Great Hall for a Eucharistic service that is both lively and reflective; both eclectic and grounded in our Episcopal heritage; both informal and conscious of the holiness present among us. Come sing, pray, ponder the Word, and share the sacrament of holy bread and wine. Join us anytime, and bring a friend!

“Family Values” POSTPONED to 7pm, Tuesday, Jan. 25

By Miranda | Published January 14, 2010

In our next Spirituality of Parenting gathering, we’ll be talking about “family values” – not the ones in politicians’ speeches, but the ones that we treasure and try to live out in our families. Through our conversation, we’ll explore what values matter to us and how to make them part of our daily life as parents. Join us! All are welcome.

Christmas Pageant

By Julie Miller | Published December 2, 2009

The Christmas pageant is just around the corner! This year’s
pageant will be on Sunday, December 20, during the 10:00 service in the Great Hall. There will be three practices:
(1) Sunday, December 6, from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. (for kids with speaking parts only) (followed by Sunday School);
(2) Sunday, December 13, from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. (entire cast) (followed by Sunday School); and
(3) Saturday, December 19, from 9:00 to 11:00 or 11:30 (entire cast).

Please contact Cindy White ASAP bcdjc@comcast.net if your child or children will be participating in the pageant and if he/she/they would like to have speaking parts. As always, we will need assistance from parents and Sunday School teachers in rehearsing and coordinating scenes and costumes.

Create a Star
Barbara Filleul and the PIT Crew/Youth Class invite the entire parish to create scenery for the Christmas Pageant. Please, make a “stuffed” star to hang from the Great Hall rafters. The stars will be similar to the doves created for Miranda’s ordination. Create your own star pattern or use the pattern placed on the coffee table in the Great Hall. The stars should be returned to the church by Saturday, December 19th. Call Marti Hunt at 927-4046 or email at mahunt@tds.net with questions.

The gift of a goat…or a rabbit, sheep, or duck? With the help of our Sunday School, you can take care of your Christmas shopping list while providing useful animals to people in need around the world.
